Our client, a prominent AmLaw 50 firm, is seeking a talented Mid to Senior-Level Associate Attorney to join their nationally-recognized Energy & Natural Resources Practice Group. This is an exciting opportunity for an associate to work on revolutionary energy and infrastructure transactions within one of the industry's most dynamic markets.

 

 

Candidate Profile:

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
  • Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction, in good standing.
  • 4–6 years of substantive experience in energy and infrastructure transactions, with a focus on renewable energy.
  • Demonstrated experience in project development, construction, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and finance transactional work.
  • Background working with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contracts and major equipment procurement for renewable energy projects.
  • Strong transactional drafting skills and the ability to manage complex deal structures.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, writing, analytical, and organizational abilities.
 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise renewable energy sector clients on the structuring and negotiation of energy and infrastructure transactions, including project development, construction, M&A, and finance-related matters.
  • Draft and negotiate EPC contracts and major equipment procurement for onshore/offshore wind, solar, and energy storage projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, regulatory, private equity, commodities, risk assessment, and project development attorneys.
  • Support clients in a broad range of commercial energy matters across the lifecycle of energy projects.
  • Stay current on industry trends related to renewable energy and infrastructure.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive compensation: Includes a base salary range of $235,000-$390,000, determined by experience and market factors, as well as eligibility for a discretionary bonus.
