Mechanical Engineer

About the Position:

Join The company as a Mechanical Engineer, contributing to a range of engine development activities focused on bringing the company's rotary diesel engines to production. Initially, you will be involved in R&D work, serving as a vital member of the engineering team.

Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize, design, and analyze engine components, systems, and test rigs.
  • Utilize SolidWorks for CAD design work.
  • Perform engineering analysis using hand calculations, custom codes, and commercial software tools (e.g., Matlab, GT Suite).
  • Present data and conclusions clearly in written reports and weekly meetings.
  • Collaborate with in-house machinists and external contractors to acquire prototype hardware.
  • Operate engine, dynamometer, and DAQ for engine tests.
  • Debug mechanical systems through hands-on and analytical work.
  • Disassemble, assemble, inspect, and document prototype engines and test rigs.
  • Invent and problem-solve to improve engine and component performance.
  • Oversee or collaborate with technicians and other engineers on design, testing, and analysis projects.
  • Follow company policies and maintain organized documentation.
  • Communicate professionally with remote teammates, vendors, and consultants.
  • Maintain a spirited, open-minded attitude in the face of challenges.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Matlab, Design, and Analysis of Mechanisms.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
