Highly respected boutique Restructuring, Turnaround, & Performance Improvement advisory firm is actively seeking Analysts and Associates with 2+ years of post-undergraduate experience in restructuring, corporate finance, investment banking, consulting, banking, security analysis, accounting, investing, or other relevant experience to join our growing team. The candidate should be comfortable and capable of working in lean teams, managing deadlines, and executing client-facing work with limited oversight. The candidate must excel in high-pressure situations and at managing complex processes.

 

This position offers a unique entrepreneurial environment and the opportunity to work directly with companies, boards, creditors, shareholders, and other stakeholders on performance improvement and financial restructuring situations. Our highly entrepreneurial culture provides for a broad range of responsibilities and strong potential for professional growth.

 

The position is in Miami, FL. To provide the greatest opportunity for training, mentoring, and personal growth, the successful candidate should expect to work from their offices Tuesday through Thursday. Relocation is not offered at this time.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Preparing and delivering presentations on restructuring and financing matters
  • Performing valuation, debt capacity, liquidity, and other restructuring analyses
  • Analyzing business plans and participating in due diligence
  • Designing restructuring strategies
  • Conducting research on industries with little prior knowledge
  • Developing strategic reviews and evaluating distressed M&A opportunities
  • Review and research stressed and distressed credits using CapIQ and Bloomberg
  • Create client-ready presentations showing clear and concise thinking and rationale
  • Preparation of investment memos and business plan summaries
  • Researching companies’ competitive position, market size, and industry dynamics
  • Management of third-party diligence providers, including legal, accounting and industry-specific consultants
  • Detailed financial analysis and modeling

 

Qualifications:

  • 2-6 years of experience in relevant disciplines
  • Strong academic background and specific finance experience in either investment banking, management consulting, accounting, or related fields
  • Top performer within peer group in the following areas: qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, understanding of finance, financial modeling, business judgment, initiative, and attention to detail
  • Experience linking business strategy to performance and due diligence findings
  • Ability to travel regularly
