Job Posting – Field Recruiter

POSITION SUMMARY

The Field Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, and onboarding high-performing field personnel to support RL Siteworx's dirtwork and underground utility operations. This role builds and maintains a strong pipeline of skilled laborers, pipelayers, equipment operators, and foremen to meet the needs of fast-paced and rapidly scaling projects. The recruiter plays a vital part in ensuring workforce readiness and supporting RL's mission of becoming a $400M contractor by 2035.

PERSONALITY ASSESSMENT

As part of our hiring process, we ask candidates to set aside 5-10 uninterrupted minutes to complete a Predictive Index® Behavioral and Cognitive Assessment. These assessments do not measure intelligence, education, or experience. It simply measures communication needs and problem solving abilities. OBJECTIVES

·        Source and hire skilled laborers, pipelayer helpers, pipelayers, equipment operators, and foremen to meet project labor needs.

·        Maintain an active pipeline of field candidates to reduce time-to-hire and avoid project delays.

·        Develop and execute localized recruitment campaigns using field outreach, social media, and referrals.

·        Build relationships with trade schools, workforce programs, and community employment organizations.

·        Coordinate hiring timelines and needs with superintendents, project managers, and HR.

·        Track and report key recruiting metrics, including cost-per-hire, time-to-fill, and candidate retention rates.

·        Screen candidates for job readiness, skill level, and cultural fit in alignment with RL Siteworx values.

·        Ensure all candidates meet compliance requirements, including employment eligibility, background checks, and drug screenings.

·        Promote employee referral programs and manage referral tracking and rewards.

·        Represent RL Siteworx at job fairs, trade events, community hiring days, open-air markets, etc.

·        Identify talent gaps and proactively adjust recruiting strategies to meet shifting workforce demands.

·        Champion company culture and brand in all external recruitment communications.

·        Deploy field recruitment tactics such as jobsite visits and field canvassing to find qualified candidates.

 

COMPETENCIES

·        Strong knowledge of construction labor roles and underground utility work.

·        Proficiency in sourcing through field outreach, referrals, trade schools, and workforce programs.

·        Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially with blue-collar labor pools.

·        Organized and able to manage multiple open positions and pipelines simultaneously.

·        Technologically savvy with ATS and recruitment tools.

·        Driven by measurable recruiting KPIs and results.

·        Ability to represent and promote RL Siteworx culture externally.

·        Flexible and adaptive in a high-growth, fast-changing environment.

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

·        2+ years of recruiting experience, ideally in construction, trades, or blue-collar labor industries.

·        Familiarity with Texas labor markets and community recruiting resources preferred.

·        Experience with ATS systems, field recruiting, and bilingual communication (English/Spanish) is a required.

 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

·        Must be able to travel locally to jobsites, hiring events, trade schools, and community centers.

·        Occasional work in outdoor environments, including construction site visits.

·        Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods when attending events or interviewing candidates.
