POSITION SUMMARY 

RL Siteworx is seeking a results oriented, detailed, and experienced Assistant Project Manager to assist in the execution of our projects. This role will report to one of RL’s Project Managers. The duties of this role require a basic understanding of underground wet utilities and dirt work, a personality that enjoys details, and an analytical outlook to material, equipment, cost tracking, and subcontractors.

RL Siteworx is a Houston-based underground wet utility and dirt work contractor who has provided site management services to our customers for over 40 years. RL executes and manages builder’s sites so they can focus on planning for the future. We make it flow. RL is dedicated to building a culture defined by proactive action, communication, results focused, and quality and achieving a goal of being a $400M construction contractor by 2035 

 

PERSONALITY ASSESSMENT

OBJECTIVES 

  • Create and maintain excellent working relationships with all external and internal stakeholders to retain existing customers and team members.  

  • Assist and facilitate all project related details for multiple projects in various phases of the construction process.  

  • Provide helpful, informative, and timely responses to all project managers for assigned tasks. 

  • Maintain all company processes and standards that relate to project execution.  

  • Assist with capturing and documenting the details of all change proposals, drawing revisions, etc. throughout the course of construction.  

  • Effectively manage your time and expectations across multiple projects while assisting others involved in the project execution process. 

  • Assist the Project Manager with the creation and documentation as it relates to RFIs, ASIs, CCDs, CPs, COs, Purchase Orders, Requisitions, etc.  

 

COMPETENCIES 

  • Proven ability to absorb, remember, and properly document large quantities of details across multiple projects at one time.  

  • Willingness to follow up on all outstanding paperwork regardless of whether the responsibility is of internal or external stakeholders.  

  • Experience with earthwork, underground wet utilities, or civil engineering field work.  

  • Basic knowledge of general construction project management principles.  

  • A willingness to learn processes and systems in a complex fast-paced environment.  

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 

  • Undergraduate degree in construction, civil engineering, or similar field of study 

  • Not less than 2 years of experience in similar roles 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer 

  • This position will require limited travel. Less than 5% of total time.  

 

COMPENSATION 

Competitive base salary ranging between $65,000 and $100,000
