Job Description:

This role will be based at a 250-person food additives facility with multiple US sites. This person will be part of the engineering group with process and project engineers who will assist this person as needed. This person will serve as the Mechanical Integrity Engineer with oversite for all the tanks, piping, and pressure relief valves on site. Responsibilities include equipment inspections; equipment upgrades and interacting with regulatory agencies. This engineer will do the complete design and installation of projects up to one million dollars related to the repair or replacement of equipment as needed to bring equipment into compliance. Secondary responsibilities will be dust control. This company offers an excellent relocation policy including moving costs, lease breaking options, paying home selling costs and a house-hunting trip. Minimum Requirements:

  • B.S. degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineer with 3+ years of mechanical integrity experience with tanks is a must. Experience with piping, and pressure relief valves are a major plus.
  • Candidates can be out chemicals, foods, or almost any industry
  • Some knowledge of codes (API (510, 570, 653), ASME and NFPA) are needed
  • Dust Hazard and Environmental knowledge are pluses
  • Design through installation of equipment at some level is a huge plus
