Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced attorney to advise colleges and universities on regulatory compliance and business operations. The role includes:

• Advising higher education institutions on compliance with state and federal regulations
• Handling transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions involving colleges and universities
• Providing counsel on governance, accreditation, and institutional policies
• Assisting with contract negotiation, employment issues, and risk management
• Representing institutions in regulatory investigations and administrative proceedings
• Collaborating with firm leadership to develop innovative legal strategies for clients

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active New Jersey Bar admission
• 3+ years of legal experience, with a focus on higher education or regulatory compliance
• Strong background in transactional matters, including mergers and business operations
• Experience representing colleges or universities preferred
• Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
