The right candidate will have a strong technical background, 7+ years sales experience in the food ingredient or specialty chemical industry. World leader in the manufacture and sale of speciality food ingredients, seeks an experienced, highly motivated Senior Account Manager to join our U.S. team based in the Chicagoland office. Responsibilities include directing and managing all commercial efforts for the food ingredient products for the Midwest region of the United States and specific national accounts.
Responsibilities:· Own territory to grow, manage and onboard existing customers and new customers
· Develop customer-based strategic plans for new and existing customers
· Gather and analyze market trends, customer needs and interests and identify new application opportunities for existing and new products
· Identify prospective customers and opportunities for volume and margin growth
· Interface at all levels of a customer’s organization including R&D, Quality, and Purchasing while developing relationships with key decision makers
· Conduct technical sales presentations that showcase our portfolio of ingredients.
· Represent the company at national and regional trade shows
· Travel expectation is 25-40%; both domestic and international
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 7 years of sales experience in the food ingredient or specialty chemical industry
· A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college
· Proven success and a solid track record of selling commercial ingredients direct to customers and thru a distributor network
The position is a hybrid of remote and in-person work schedule (3 days in office).
