We are seeking a dedicated Tool & Die Maker to join our production team within the Manufacturing division. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth, safe, and productive operation of our production work cells. The individual will be responsible for supporting the daily operational activities, with a core focus on the construction and repair of tools, dies, and other components used in our manufacturing process.
\nThis position requires collaboration with various personnel across the facility, adhering strictly to safety guidelines, and ensuring production operations comply with all plant policies and procedures.
\nMonitor one or various production lines and operations to ensure smooth production flow during the shift.
\nAssist in the construction and repair of tools, dies, and other components used in manufacturing.
\nRead and interpret technical drawings and blueprints with precision.
\nAccurately measure and inspect machined parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
\nLearn and apply skills in various machining operations, including milling, grinding, and turning.
\nAssist in diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with tools and dies under the supervision of senior staff.
\nAdhere to all safety guidelines and protocols in the manufacturing plant.
\nContribute to maintaining a clean and healthy work environment.
\nParticipate in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills.
\nA minimum of one year of experience machining and constructing tooling to drawing specifications to meet production needs.
\nA minimum of one year of experience reading blueprint drawings.
\nA minimum of one year of experience operating manual lathes, mills, grinders, etc.
\nA minimum of one year of experience machining a variety of tool steel material, including D2, A2, and copper.
\nMust have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
\nMust meet ALL required Basic Qualifications.
\nMust be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. Sponsorship support (including CPT, OPT, H-1B, etc.) is not offered for this position.
\nAssociate's Degree related to Tool and Machining, OR 2 years of professional experience as a die maker.
\nExperience in building die tooling for stamping/manufacturing processes.
\nWelding experience (TIG/MIG).
\nFamiliarity with the steel heat treating process.
\nHourly Rate: This position offers a competitive hourly rate, which is non-negotiable.
