LOCATION: Reston, VA. This is a hybrid (2x/wk in office) role available to those who reside within a reasonable commute and those willing to relocate immediately upon hire. (with company assistance)
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- The Senior Engineer will collaborate with various teams, providing strategic and operational expertise, and support the continuous improvement of IAM practices.
- Develop integrations using Java and REST APIs
- Provide application onboarding of both enterprise and custom-built applications
- Implement access certifications, Identity and Account Lifecycle Management (Joiner/Mover/Leaver), and role engineering
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to enhance IAM solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and lead technical teams.
- Communicate IAM strategies and security principles effectively across the organization
- Create and maintain operational documentation with collaboration tools such as Confluence for systems configurations, operational procedures, and best practices
IDEAL PROFILE: The ideal candidate will possess the experience to architect and develop identity management platforms (such as SailPoint) using Java.
PREFERRED BACKGOUND:
- 10+ years of related experience, ideally with specific focus on IAM security architecture and development
- Demonstrated proficiency in Java development (Core Java)
- Must have experience implementing webservices-based integrations utilizing REST APIs
- Experience with cloud-based IAM solutions including AWS, Azure, or equivalent platforms, with a solid understanding of cloud environment IAM roles, policies, and best practices
- Skilled in designing and configuring IAM across complex global infrastructures for high availability, with an understanding of cyber threats and proactive IAM defenses
- Experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) is a plus, as is SailPoint IdentityIQ Engineer certification
- Prior work in a Lead role, mentoring more junior developers.
- Excellent customer facing skills, able to communicate with others at all levels in the organization.
- Relevant certifications such as CIAM, CISSP, or equivalent IAM vendor-specific certifications
LOCATION: Must reside within a reasonable commute to Reston, VA (highly preferred) or motivated to relo to the area PRIOR to joining (with company assistance). Neither remote nor delayed relocation are an option.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or related field preferred or equivalent work experience
WORK AUTHORIZATION: US Citizen/Green Card holder preferred. May consider applicants on an H-1B with an approved I-140.
