ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

A premier AmLaw 100 firm is seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Attorney to join its nationally-recognized Insurance & Reinsurance Litigation Practice Group. This position is open in multiple California office locations (San Francisco, Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego) and offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement.

Candidate Profile

JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing.
4+ years of substantive experience in complex litigation, with a focus on insurance coverage and bad faith litigation matters.
Insurance Expertise: Preferred candidates will have familiarity with general liability and property and casualty insurance policies.
Litigation Background: Extensive experience litigating in California state and federal courts, including pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, and court appearances.
Independent and Collaborative: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively to a team-based environment.
Soft Skills: Exceptional legal research and writing skills, a strong communicator, and a motivated, innovative thinker who thrives in a fast-paced litigation practice.

Key Responsibilities

Handle insurance coverage and bad faith litigation, as well as other complex commercial litigation matters.
Own litigation strategy and execution from inception to resolution, including drafting and arguing dispositive motions.
Client Interaction: Engage with sophisticated clients to provide practical legal advice, manage expectations, and build trusted relationships.
Collaborative Growth: Work alongside seasoned litigators in a respected practice group known for its commitment to mentorship, excellence, and innovation.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive Salary: $250,000 – $370,000, commensurate with experience.
