Bradley Professional is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Corporate Staff Accountant to join a growing finance team with their client. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in construction accounting and property management, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working across multiple entities and projects. The Corporate Staff Accountant will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
Perform day-to-day accounting operations including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes across multiple entities.
Prepare financial statements and internal reports for management and stakeholders.
Track and report on construction project costs, including work-in-progress (WIP) schedules.
Reconcile job costing, purchase orders, subcontractor payments, and change orders.
Review and ensure accuracy of property management financials, including rent rolls, CAM reconciliations, and tenant bill-backs.
Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis for both construction and property portfolios.
Collaborate with project managers, property managers, and external accountants to support business operations.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies.
Support external audits and lender reporting requirements as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in construction and/or property management industries.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, Sage 300 Construction, QuickBooks, or similar platforms).
Strong understanding of job costing, WIP schedules, and real estate financial reporting.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
CPA or working towards certification is a plus.
Experience with multi-entity and intercompany accounting.
Familiarity with lien waivers, retention tracking, and draw requests.
