 Bradley Professional is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Corporate Staff Accountant to join a growing finance team with their client. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in construction accounting and property management, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working across multiple entities and projects. The Corporate Staff Accountant will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform day-to-day accounting operations including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.

  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes across multiple entities.

  • Prepare financial statements and internal reports for management and stakeholders.

  • Track and report on construction project costs, including work-in-progress (WIP) schedules.

  • Reconcile job costing, purchase orders, subcontractor payments, and change orders.

  • Review and ensure accuracy of property management financials, including rent rolls, CAM reconciliations, and tenant bill-backs.

  • Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis for both construction and property portfolios.

  • Collaborate with project managers, property managers, and external accountants to support business operations.

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies.

  • Support external audits and lender reporting requirements as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • 3+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in construction and/or property management industries.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, Sage 300 Construction, QuickBooks, or similar platforms).

  • Strong understanding of job costing, WIP schedules, and real estate financial reporting.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA or working towards certification is a plus.

  • Experience with multi-entity and intercompany accounting.

  • Familiarity with lien waivers, retention tracking, and draw requests.
