Must have at least (6) years of plant EHS leadership experience with an emphasis on Safety AND must have a Bachelor of Science degree in safety or environmental from an accredited program.
Position is a key member of the plant leadership team and highly visible position in the operations/business unit. Manage the EHS program for a large employee scope, directly supervise a staff of EHS Specialists and will report to the Plant Manager.
· Develop and execute strategic and tactical EHS plans to drive fatality prevention, increase risk recognition and reduce injuries/incidents.
· Lead, mentor, develop and support the site’s EHS staff. Industrial safety experience with proven track record of cultural change success.
· Strong heavy manufacturing background and union experience.
· Accountable for continued growth in driving safety culture initiatives, employee engagement and coaching / mentoring the EHS Department.
