TAX ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY - BUSINESS TRANSACTIONS PRACTICE

Location: Tampa, FL

Our client, a highly-regarded AmLaw 200 firm, is seeking a talented Tax Associate Attorney to join their Business Transactions Practice Group in Tampa. This is an exceptional opportunity to work on sophisticated tax matters within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Candidate Profile:

JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
LL.M. in Taxation is required.
Active Bar Admission in Florida.
- Strong candidates from major markets that are seeking to relocate to Tampa will be considered.
2–4 years of substantive experience in tax law.
Exposure to complex business transactions, securities offerings, corporate finance, and joint ventures is a plus.
Large law firm experience highly preferred.
Strong legal writing, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team in a client-service-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Advise clients on federal and state tax implications of business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and joint ventures.
Assist with tax planning, compliance, and structuring strategies for corporations, partnerships, and private equity clients.
Draft and review transactional tax-related documents, including partnership agreements and operating agreements.
Conduct legal research on tax regulations and provide strategic recommendations to clients.
Work closely with corporate attorneys on securities, finance, and business transactions.
