Bachelor of Science degree in Safety or Environmental required from an accredited university program. Highly prefer candidates with MIOSHA experience.
Must have at least (5) years of progressive safety leadership experience including staff management within manufacturing operations. Position will report into the site EHS Manager and accountable for driving health and safety efforts across a large production facility. Directly supervise (3) salaried Safety Specialists. Coach and energize location leaders to assist them in the execution of their safety accountabilities and partner with them to deliver their safety objectives. Lead, mentor, develop and support location’s professional EHS staff.
· Critical skills should include execution, attention to detail, initiative, conflict resolution, customer focus, collaboration, building ownership and commitment, developing others, drive for change, tenacity and ability to gain organization support.
