Area Manager – Responsibilities:• Serve as the go-to liaison between departments (Operations, Estimating, Project Managers, and Clients), ensuring flawless communication and coordination across the board.• Lead field operations with a focus on execution, safety, and efficiency—making things happen with precision.• Keep a close eye on project performance, providing weekly updates on finances and progress to senior leadership.• Champion the recruitment and development of top talent, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team through mentorship and training.• Navigate the complexities of contracts, claims, and risk management, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.• Develop and implement strategies that drive profitability, optimizing budgets, achieving financial goals, and enhancing revenue growth.• Build and nurture strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities and expanding the company’s market share.• Collaborate with internal teams to deploy cutting-edge technologies and solutions to meet client needs and set new standards.• Represent the company in industry associations, advocating and strengthening local presence.• Travel as needed to support project needs, attend key meetings, and ensure goals are met across the region.
Area Manager – Qualifications• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field. P.Eng designation is an asset, though not required.• Experience: At least 10 years of heavy construction project management experience in the BC market.• Expertise in specialized construction technologies, including drilling, anchors, and geotechnical solutions.• Extensive experience in estimating, risk management, and managing client relationships.• Proven leadership with experience guiding multidisciplinary teams, ensuring smooth project execution while managing schedules, costs, and resources.• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to engage and build rapport with clients.• A team player who values input from all members but also has the decisiveness to lead and drive results.• Experience in Ground Technologies is a plus.• Eager to learn, grow, and take on senior leadership roles, with a clear vision for advancing to VP-level responsibilities.
