KIT Recruitment is working with a well-established food manufacturing client to find a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Supervisor for their primary processing facility. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced QA professional looking to step into a leadership role within a fast-paced production environment focused on food safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Position Details:
Hourly Rate: Up to $30/hour (based on experience)
Overtime: Paid after 44 hours/week
Vacation: 6% vacation pay issued on each pay cycle (equivalent to 15 unpaid vacation days)

Key Responsibilities:
Supervise QA Technicians and ensure all scheduled quality checks are completed accurately and on time
Provide real-time support on the production floor and act as backup for QA team members when needed
Perform verification of inspections, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure compliance with HACCP and SQF protocols
Identify quality or process improvement opportunities and communicate findings to QA leadership
Conduct internal audits and support traceability exercises and complaint investigations
Lead QA-related training, including H&S, Animal Welfare, and SQF orientation for new and existing employees
Hold regular performance check-ins and conduct annual reviews for QA staff
Participate in QA and sanitation meetings and support reassessments of food safety programs
Qualifications:
3+ years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing or processing environment (poultry experience preferred)
Strong working knowledge of HACCP, SQF, and GMP standards
Experience conducting internal audits and supporting traceability initiatives
Familiarity with provincial food safety legislation (e.g., OMAFRA)
Strong communication, documentation, and leadership skills
