Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Creates, writes, and implements exciting and profitable promotions for the organization and its entities.
Manages all special events and works with other Marketing Department Managers to create and implement events.
Reports the effectiveness and profitability of all promotions and special events in a timely manner in accordance with designated marketing operating procedures.
Maintains tasks, timelines, and calendars or schedules for upcoming promotions and special events.
Establishes and maintains vendor relationships when coordinating, promoting, and producing on-site promotions and special events.
Sets up and executes promotional events and giveaways; responsible for setting up and maintaining all kiosk promotions.
Works directly with Purchasing to order items and supplies for all promotional giveaways and maintains accurate inventories.
Ensures proper approvals are obtained for all special events and promotions.
Responds to and makes necessary changes, corrections, and responses to audit findings.
Creates tag codes, promotional IDs, prize IDs, vouchers, or criteria for all promotions in the players’ club and/or kiosk systems.
Communicates with applicable departments when coordinating special events and promotions.
Works with the graphics team to create promotional and special event advertisements, game props, and/or collateral.
Ensures proper communication of promotions and special events to the public and team members.
Researches, locates, and purchases all supplies and materials needed for promotions or special events.
Responsible for hiring and managing promotions and/or events staff, including writing and maintaining schedules and managing payroll requirements and any associated overtime.
Promotes positive guest relations through prompt, courteous, and efficient service.
Fosters an open and welcoming atmosphere with team members that promotes skill enhancement.
Holds meetings and provides information regarding promotions and special events.
Assists and participates in marketing functions as required.
Occasionally performs duties of subordinates and other duties as needed.
Accountability and Supervision:
Directly supervises Promotion Coordinators and any additional special event staff.
Administers supervisory employment actions and responsibilities in accordance with company policies, SOPs, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; rewarding and disciplining employees; promoting, demoting, and reassigning employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field required.
Three (3) years prior experience in Promotions, Special Events, Entertainment, or Sponsorships required.
Five (5) years Marketing, Promotions, or Special Events experience preferred.
Or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
Special Requirements, Licenses, and Certification
Must be able to acquire and maintain a Gaming License as applicable.
Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background investigation.
Must be flexible with the work schedule and willing to work any days or hours required to meet business needs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must exhibit a positive attitude toward internal and external guests at all times.
Ability to take direction and feedback well.
Must demonstrate sound and accurate decision-making skills.
Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft and relevant database applications and software.
Ability to perform multiple tasks accurately and meet deadlines under pressure with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail in spelling, numbers, and grammar.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, presented professionally and effectively.
Basic mathematical skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure.
