The primary responsibility of this position is military and government civilian support. The candidate must have a background in the Air Force military and civilian personnel management systems experience, which Involves developing, delivering, managing, and maintaining Human Resources information systems.
Additionally, the candidate will be involved in the administering, delivering, maintaining, advising, and adapting basic concepts, principles, and theories of civilian personnel to the unique organizational, management, and mission requirements of military departments and organizations.
This position will work within the civilian personnel system regarding recruitment & placement, human resource development and performance management. Added responsibilities may include support to professional and career development training programs ensuring personnel training history records are complete, accurate and IAW regulatory guidelines.
Skills / Experience Required
· Top Secret with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) eligible
· 5+ years of relevant experience within the Department of Defense (DoD)
· 2+ years’ experience in SAP/SCI environment and worked in this environment within the last five years
· Provide personnel recommendations to senior leadership to help ensure mission success
· Provide analytical review of personnel strengths and identify potential trends impacting organizational sustainment
· Must have experience with DOD personnel systems MILPDS, MyFSS, DTS, BLSDM, AFPASS, MPICAM, DTS, LeaveWeb to include Awards and Decs
· Demonstrated/practical hands-on experience in a Human Resource Generalist role. Must have computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, web-based applications and HR-related systems preferred
· Able to take proactive measures to prevent problems rather than reactive by nature · Strong writing, editing, analytical and team facilitation skills
· Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail
· Strong verbal communication to effectively express concepts, plans, and personnel guidance · Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work in a small team atmosphere
· May be required to consent to and successfully complete a Government Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph
Education / Certifications:
Bachelor' degree: Arts (BA), Science (BS), Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of education
