JOB PURPOSE:The CEO ensures efficient, successful, and profitable operations, planning and overseeing all activities, establishing policies, and maintaining the integrity of operations. The CEO provides strategic recommendations to leadership and ensures timely completion of objectives aligned with the enterprise’s strategic plan. Confidentiality of privileged information is paramount.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Planning and Decision-Making:

  • Formulate and implement strategic plans with leadership approval.
  • Make complex decisions and take calculated risks in all areas of gaming and resort operations.
  • Develop solutions to challenging problems using advanced management techniques and innovative strategies.
  • Maintain the organization’s status as a leader in the Native American business community through exemplary leadership and financial success.
  • Regularly report operational and financial conditions to leadership.

Leadership and Development:

  • Develop an organizational structure that promotes team building and sustainability.
  • Oversee departmental leadership to ensure optimal performance.
  • Inspire and motivate employees, fostering a customer-service and team-oriented culture.
  • Support personal and professional development for tribal and Native American employees.
  • Centralize business efforts only when it increases profitability, service, and morale.

Management and Training:

  • Promote a collegial management style and inspire excellence throughout the organization.
  • Identify and develop top performers while discouraging nepotism or favoritism.
  • Establish a culture of accountability and encourage employee growth through mentoring.
  • Maintain a workforce focused on guest service and personal development.

Customer Development and Marketing:

  • Understand guest expectations and strive to exceed them.
  • Implement marketing strategies that improve service delivery and revenue generation.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitors to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Establish programs to enhance guest loyalty and satisfaction.

Potential Growth:

  • Oversee design, development, and implementation of gaming or facility expansions, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Operate in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintain familiarity with compacts and regulations, ensuring adherence and participating in new compact development when necessary.

Safety and Welfare:

  • Enforce compliance with safety and welfare regulations at all levels.
  • Support workforce wellness through initiatives and policies promoting health and safety.

Strategic Planning:

  • Lead planning teams with accountability for achieving milestones.
  • Integrate and improve management plans across all profit centers in alignment with organizational objectives.
