Job Summary:

The Proposal Writer Intern is detail orientated and supports the proposal team in drafting and preparing compelling proposals for clients, partners, and funding opportunities. The selected candidate will assist with writing, editing, and organizing proposal documents while gaining valuable experience in business development, project management, and client communication. This role provides exposure to the proposal process and helps develop strong writing, research, and organizational skills.

Compensation:

This pay band reflects Chloeta’s good faith estimate of the range it expects to offer; Chloeta reserves the right to alter this range if business circumstances change.

  • $18.50 per hour 
  • FLSA Non-Exempt

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assists in drafting, editing, and proofreading proposals and related documents.
  • Conducts research to gather relevant information for proposals, including industry trends, competitor analysis, and client needs.
  • Helps organize proposal content, ensuring it aligns with client requirements, guidelines, and objectives.
  • Supports the creation of proposal templates, presentation materials, and supporting documents.
  •  Assists in formatting proposal documents to meet submission standards and ensure a professional presentation.
  • Helps maintain and update proposal databases, including tracking proposal status and outcomes.
  • Assists in the development of cost estimates and timelines for proposals.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including project managers, subject matter experts, and designers, to gather the necessary information for proposals.
  • Participates in proposal strategy meetings to understand client needs and objectives.
  • Helps with administrative tasks related to the proposal process, such as organizing meetings, managing deadlines, and compiling feedback.

 Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office .
  • Ability to learn and use AI and data management software.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong research skills, including the ability to gather, analyze, and summarize information from various sources.
  • Highly organized and able to multitask.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
 

Required Education and Experience:

  • Required: Enrolled in a university or college program at junior or senior level, preferred course of study to include English, Communications, Journalism, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Required: At least 1 year of administrative office or writing/journalism/marketing experience

 

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • This job operates in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc.

 

Pre-employment Requirements:  

This position may be contingent upon passing a security clearance, criminal background check, drug screen, Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review, education verification, employment verification, and/or credit check after acceptance of an offer and prior to beginning work, due to the nature of the services Chloeta provides and the responsibilities of this position.  

 

Drug and Alcohol Testing:
