Senior ERP Solution Architect

Location and Hours:

  • Remote (work from home)
  • 8 hours daily, Monday to Friday (excluding stat holidays and mandatory vacation time-off)
  • Core business hours: 7:00am–5:00pm Central Time

Responsibilities

During Identification and Scoping:

  • Lead cross-functional technical teams aligning ERP solutions with business goals
  • Present complex technical solutions to executive stakeholders
  • Define vendor-agnostic ERP solution design and produce architecture artifacts
  • Support technical documentation and non-functional requirements for technology selection
  • Assist with RFP activities
  • Ensure ERP design aligns with Enterprise Architecture principles

During Implementation:

  • Collaborate with software and system integrator vendors on target ERP architecture
  • Contribute to ERP implementation planning
  • Oversee ERP architecture and design deliverables
  • Guide integration with legacy systems and line-of-business applications
  • Oversee ERP databases and data stores for decision-quality data
  • Define implementation and support standards and best practices
  • Recommend ERP optimization strategies
  • Support ERP governance frameworks and sustainment models

Required Skills

  • ERP Expertise: Hands-on with SAP S/4HANA, Oracle ERP Cloud, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics 365, etc.
  • Solution Architecture: End-to-end ERP design and deployment using loosely coupled principles
  • Data-Driven Design: Strong understanding of data-driven decision-making
  • Technical Leadership: Team management and ERP implementation best practices
  • Business & IT Alignment: Translating business needs into scalable ERP solutions
  • Stakeholder Communication: Presenting technical concepts to C-level and non-technical audiences
  • Cloud & Digital Transformation: ERP migrations, cloud adoption, AI integration
  • Regulatory & Compliance: Ensuring ERP meets industry and regulatory standards
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and multitasking skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving mindset

Experience and Education

  • 15+ years as a software or enterprise architect
  • 7+ years designing and implementing Tier 1 ERP solutions across industries
  • Experience with ERP migration, upgrade, or greenfield projects
  • Knowledge of databases, middleware, and API-based architectures
  • Familiarity with TOGAF and other architectural frameworks
  • Proven leadership of ERP teams and strategic guidance to C-suite
  • Experience developing ERP governance and compliance frameworks
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or Business
  • Preferred Certifications: SAP, Oracle ERP Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics 365, TOGAF, PMP

Additional Requirements

  • Industry experience in Retail and Wholesale Distribution preferred
  • Public sector experience preferred
  • Windows laptop with standard applications and Microsoft 365 compatibility
  • Communication device and software licenses (e.g., Visio, MS Project) required
