Long Island, NY Hybrid 3 days in officeP&C Insurance Accounting - Day to Day Operations
REQUIRES P&C INSURANCE CARRIER ACCOUNTING EXPERIENCEThis commercial lines carrier has created a new role reporting to the CFO and the Controller. The Treasury & Accounting Manager will lead a small team of 2 Accounting Clerks and possibly a Staff Accountant DOE. This role will lead banking/cash/accounts payable and receivable and have oversight responsibilities for the financial reporting/ yellow book filing. Will take ownership for Schedules D, E and F. We'd like to see a minimum of 7 years in Treasury, Cash, Reporting, GL, Automated financial/ banking systems and most everything related today to day financial operations within P&C insurance carrier.
A CPA is preferred, but not required.
Additionally: Banking - letters of credit, maintain the Corporate credit card, day to day banking relationships, intercompany balance oversight
Cash - transfers, projections, forecasts, processing payments
Systems - financial and banking, implementation, process improvements, workflow
Risk - awareness and mitigation
Financial reporting - STAT and GAAP
Additionally, established DOI relationships and experience working with regulatory reporting agencies is preferred.
We're looking for someone who can work without much oversight and who has great attention to detail and can meet those deadlines. Previous supervisory experience is necessary.
