Long-time P&C insurance client will hire a Sr Accountant. Responsibilities will include, but aren't limited to:
Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP and Statutory financial statements and filings for external and internal users. Participates in GAAP audits and statutory examinations.
Review monthly transactions created by the investment and reinsurance areas
Prepares complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
Analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
Assists in the preparation of the consolidated tax return and consolidated financial statements.
To qualify:
A four (4) year degree in accounting or business
4-7 years of related Finance experience
3 years of insurance experience
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, GL software, and Database management software.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credentials a plus.
