Territory Sales Manager with 3+ years' of sales success in a construction-centric field is needed in Austin, TX. The ideal Territory Sales Manager will be disciplined, have experience in conducting product demonstrations, be comfortable with frequent travel and be able to generate new sales leads on a regular basis. The candidate should be able to keep track of their sales and effectively communicate with other team members while out in the field.

 

Territory Sales Manager Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships with existing customers (residential contractors, builders, and homeowners) through regular meetings and onsite presentations.
  • Identify and qualify prospective customers through research, networking, and cold-calling.
  • Conduct professional product presentations and update customers on product modifications, enhancements, and changes.
  • Project-manage job sites to ensure construction adheres to company specifications and relevant code requirements.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and other events as needed.
  • Maintain and update detailed customer account records, including contact information and future sales opportunities.
  • Prepare and submit regular sales and marketing reports, and accurately track and report expenses.

 

Territory Sales Manager Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of proven experience of outside sales in the specialty construction equipment, building materials, or a construction-centric related industry.
  • Reside in the Austin area and have extensive familiarity with the metropolitan area.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently in a flexible schedule environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with an ability to manage multiple customer accounts and projects concurrently.
  • Familiarity with sales reporting tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory up to 75% of the time.
