Job Description

  • Support attorneys in all phases of litigation, including case management and trial preparation
  • Bluebook, cite-check, and proofread legal documents
  • Manage document production and discovery responses
  • Maintain electronic case files and centralized document repositories
  • File and e-file pleadings in federal and state courts
  • Draft and serve subpoenas
  • Track case calendars, deadlines, and court schedules
  • Communicate with attorneys, clients, witnesses, and court personnel
  • Prepare trial exhibits and assist in courtroom logistics
  • Travel as needed for trials and hearings
  • Occasional overtime required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state court rules
  • Bluebook and cite-checking proficiency
  • Trial support experience
  • Proficiency in Westlaw EDGE, PACER, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with NetDocuments, FiscalNote, Adobe, Best Authority a plus
  • Paralegal certificate preferred
  • Willingness to travel and work occasional overtime
  • Interest in political or progressive causes is a plus
