The Inside Broker/Account Executive supports the development, placement, and management of commercial wholesale accounts. This individual uses strong technical knowledge of commercial coverages and risk evaluation to provide accurate, efficient service and secure the best possible terms for clients.
Evaluate submissions from retail brokers and identify exposures and required coverage.
Analyze risk characteristics and determine optimal markets for placement.
Use independent judgment to negotiate quotes and secure favorable terms.
Request quotes, compare proposals, and communicate coverage and pricing details.
Manage the end-to-end placement process for commercial risks.
Support binding decisions with accurate, detailed analysis.
Generate leads through outbound calls and quote activity analysis.
Identify opportunities to expand the book and achieve assigned revenue targets.
Serve as a liaison between retail agencies and carrier/market partners.
Maintain complete documentation for all policies and accounts.
Respond to broker inquiries and provide strong service support.
Participate in ongoing education, licensing, and professional development.
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
5+ years of Commercial Insurance, Wholesale Brokerage, or Underwriting experience, or 3+ years with a Master’s degree.
Strong technical knowledge of commercial coverages and placement strategy.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
