Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Glass Manufacturing – Central Pennsylvania

Your Role with the Company

As the Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you’ll provide engineering services in the Maintenance department to ensure optimum performance and reliability of plant equipment consistent with production requirements, safety goals, quality standards and policy guidelines.

 

What You Will Be Doing

  • Provide electrical engineering support for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement of production equipment and facilities.
  • Lead and manage projects (from concept through startup) involving process control systems, PLCs, VFDs, and instrumentation.
  • Partner with production, maintenance crafts, contractors, and vendors to define requirements, resolve issues, and drive uptime and yield.
  • Prepare cost estimates and authorization requests; manage budgets; ensure economical use of outside services.
  • Champion safety and quality through proactive systems and a “do it right the first time” approach.
  • Help coordinate engineering and maintenance schedules and ensure availability of critical parts through storeroom and purchasing coordination.

 

What You Will Need

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering, EET or Mechatronics with a strong electrical emphasis.
  • 2–6+ years of hands-on electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing  plant.
  • Experience with process control systems and automation.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and program PLC’s.
  • Must be proficient with VFDs and instrumentation.
