About the Role

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist responsible for responding to cybersecurity incidents, managing vulnerability remediation, overseeing cybersecurity toolsets, and ensuring systems align with internal security standards and external compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor for security anomalies, policy violations, and potential breaches.

  • Respond promptly to security incidents, providing detailed documentation and analysis.

  • Lead vulnerability management efforts and guide remediation with IT staff.

  • Manage cybersecurity tools (firewalls, SIEM, antivirus, vulnerability scanners, email protection, etc.).

  • Test and verify company security controls and produce organized reporting.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

  • Research and implement best practices in cybersecurity.

  • Provide input on secure network and system designs.

  • Participate in on-call cybersecurity rotations.

  • Support and model company values of Customer Service, Respect, Excellence, Stewardship, and Teamwork.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Information Security or related IT roles.

  • Strong understanding of penetration testing, network security, and vulnerability management.

  • Proficiency with security tools such as firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus software, and identity providers (IdPs).

  • Demonstrated ability to identify, prioritize, and remediate security vulnerabilities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
