IMMIGRATION ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

 

Location: Miami, FL

 

 

Our client, a premier AmLaw 50 firm, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its distinguished Immigration, Nationality & Consular Law Practice in Miami. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior-level immigration attorney to work closely with seasoned practitioners while gaining hands-on experience across a wide range of business and family-based immigration matters.

 

 

Candidate Profile

  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
  • Active Bar Admission in Florida, in good standing
  • 2–3 years of substantive immigration law experience
  • Experience representing foreign nationals and U.S. employers in immigrant and non-immigrant visa petitions
  • Background handling employment-based petitions, investment visas, family-based immigration, consular processing, and naturalization matters
  • Familiarity with agencies including USCIS, DOL, ICE, and DOS
  • Experience advising employers on compliance with immigration and labor regulations
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English, including the ability to review, draft, and translate legal documents STRONGLY preferred
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills
  • High level of professionalism, reliability, and client-service mindset
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, collegial environment with direct partner and client interaction
 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file immigrant and non-immigrant visa petitions for individuals and corporate clients
  • Advise clients on regulatory requirements relating to immigration, nationality, and consular matters
  • Handle family-based immigration matters, including petitions, consular processing, and adjustment of status
  • Support clients through naturalization proceedings and related filings
  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, petitions, supporting documentation, and correspondence
  • Manage case strategy, timelines, and client communication
  • Assist employers with compliance obligations under immigration and labor regulations
  • Collaborate with partners and team members to provide strategic, solutions-focused representation

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Salary: Expected annual salary range of $240,000-$260,000, as determined by experience and market factors
