SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic.  The ideal candidate will be experienced in a food, pharma, consumer goods, chemical or industrial products manufacturing facility, adept at troubleshooting both electrical and mechanical systems, maintaining a variety of equipment, and upholding safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain essential plant equipment and perform thorough electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and exceed "B" Mechanical Qualification standards.
• Participate in regular Meetings and document issues with Work Orders.
• Strictly follow Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures and respond promptly to radio calls.
• Support plant operations by working on maintenance projects and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Identify and recommend waste reduction initiatives.
• Schedule and perform preventive maintenance through the PMC system.
• Request special or new parts as needed and repair equipment as scheduled.
• Utilize the PMC system for part searches and make necessary status changes to Work Orders.
• Issue parts from inventory and ensure they are correctly allocated to the equipment used.
• Adhere to safe work practices and write Work Orders as required.

• High School, diploma or equivalent is required - technical training or certification is desired
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Understand how to diagnose and basic troubleshoot PLC's or automated equipment 
• Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to perform basic operations using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Experience with packaging, packing or other types of high speed equipment. 
• Problem-solving ability to handle practical issues with limited standardization.
• Proficiency in interpreting diverse instructions presented in various forms, including written, oral, diagrams, or schedules.
