Overview

A global company is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to lead and manage the electrical engineering aspects of significant $90 mil capital project. This role is integral to ensuring efficient project delivery from conception through to completion. The ideal candidate will act as the primary liaison with external partners, including engineering firms, equipment suppliers, and construction contractors, to address and resolve electrical-related inquiries and issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical engineering segment of capital projects, encompassing the development of scope, equipment specifications, and data sheets.
• Oversee the preliminary pricing, engineering drawings, project schedules, and budget management for electrical, controls, and instrumentation systems.
• Manage the selection, procurement, installation, and start-up of systems, ensuring all phases meet quality and performance standards.
• Provide expert guidance on Power Distribution systems, including MCCs, substations, transformers, lighting panels, and distribution panels.
• Collaborate with external contractors and consulting firms to deliver technical support on major capital projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 6-25 years of experience in industrial manufacturing settings, such as food, chemical, pharmaceutical, and process manufacturing.
• Proven experience managing CAPEX projects exceeding $10 million.
• Proficiency in Power Distribution systems and experience with MCCs, substations, transformers, lighting panels, and distribution panels.
• Familiarity with Foxboro DCS control systems or similar DCS systems is advantageous.
• Comprehensive understanding of building systems, including lighting, HVAC, fire protection, warehousing, and emergency/backup power systems.
• Preferred knowledge in co-generation.
