Join the team as a Reliability Engineer, where you will leverage your expertise to enhance the performance and safety of the plant's machinery. This pivotal role involves a blend of technical acumen, strategic planning, and hands-on problem-solving to ensure optimal equipment functionality and longevity.  This position is centered on deep technical troubleshooting, equipment repair management, and engineering support for day-to-day plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced technical support to planners, craftsmen, and maintenance teams.

  • Own and manage the site’s maintenance procedure program, ensuring accurate and effective repair instructions.

  • Develop and provide pipe specs, paint specs, and welding guidelines for planned and emergency work.

  • Serve as the technical expert for rotating equipment, supporting design, selection, installation, and startup.

  • Define scopes of work for major repairs and oversee both on-site and off-site equipment rebuilds.

  • Lead root cause investigations for equipment failures and develop corrective actions.

  • Manage the repairable equipment work queue and coordinate with MRO for rebuilds and replacements.

  • Act as a SAP super user, supporting maintenance planning and equipment history accuracy.

  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to help control the maintenance budget and support operational priorities.

  • Serve as the maintenance focal point for capital projects, ensuring maintainability and reliability are built into new equipment and systems.

  • Partner with operations and EH&S to support safe and reliable maintenance practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or other engineering degree .
  • Minimum 10 years of experience within chemical or similar manufacturing enviornment in maintenance or reliability engineering 
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and deep understanding of failure modes and repair practices.
  • Knowledge of P&IDs, pipe specifications, welding principles, and maintenance engineering standards.
  • Experience with SAP or similar CMMS systems preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in demanding plant environments (hot, cold, loud) and wear all required PPE, including an escape respirator.
