We are seeking a SENIOR MAINTENANCE AND RELIABILITY engineer responsible for advancing the reliability and compliance performance of our manufacturing facility. This role differs from conventional equipment hands on maintenance by placing greater emphasis on MIQA compliance, predictive maintenance technologies, outage planning, and reliability program development rather than direct management of major equipment repairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the MIQA compliance program, including inspections for pressure relief valves, vessels, piping, and related equipment.

• Lead and coordinate Predictive Maintenance activities (vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, etc.).

• Support plant shutdown planning, including direct oversight of contract maintenance crews during outages.

• Assist in identifying and resolving recurring reliability issues, using formal root cause analysis.

• Identify, design, and implement facility and equipment upgrades that improve asset reliability.

• Support development of maintenance procedures, precision maintenance techniques, and critical spare parts strategies.

• Act as a SAP Master Data user, ensuring accurate equipment information, PM routines, and materials data.

• Partner with the Maintenance Manager on budget control, maintenance planning, and project integration.

• Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in alignment with EH&S, HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Preferr experience in a chemical or similar plant 

• 10+ years of maintenance or reliability experience with rotating and fixed equipment.

• Knowledge of RCFA, P&IDs, pipe specs, and maintenance management systems (SAP preferred).

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across maintenance, operations, and engineering teams.

• Ability to work in varied plant environments (hot, cold, loud) and wear required PPE, including an escape respirator.
