Leadership - Development - Deployment in strategies for reliability at plant level.  Multi-site background within U.S. experience also required as you will travel up to 50% to other company facilities.  

In this role you will report to the Director of Process & Reliability and be located at the plant. As Senior Regional Reliability Manager you will provide strategic ownership of the Reliability and Maintenance programs, initially focused at the site.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • The Senior Regional Reliability Manager will maintain and improve performance of the company’s physical assets and monitor maintenance labor and material costs to achieve plant performance goals.
  • Drives improvement of maintenance and reliability performance/ work processes using KPIs.
  • Accountable for all site maintenance (routine and turnarounds) and reliability projects.
  • This position requires considerable interaction with plant leadership teams, engineering, corporate functional leadership, external support, and contractors.
  • Perform monthly bad actor “Equipment Failure Analysis” causing plant downtime to review / stablish the maintenance strategy and improvements proposals to eliminate the asset highest failure rate by organizing and facilitating site RCPS workshops within the site maintenance team.
  • Develops and implements the annual strategic objectives and budget for the maintenance organization to support the directives for the plant and monitors performance and cost effectiveness to meet goals.
  • Monitors maintenance and reliability spend across the region including labor, parts, and equipment; identifies trends and leads gap correction efforts.
  • Ensures the integrity and maintenance of all plant assets, including production equipment, facilities, utility equipment, and grounds.
  • Ensure capture and analysis of maintenance data and equipment work histories to support work of the site Maintenance Reliability engineers.
  • Selects, manages and works jointly with engineering or construction personnel in performing building structural, plant process, or other construction projects to make sure they conform to specifications and code requirements that necessary permits have been obtained, proper materials are on hand, and that projects proceed on schedule; may, from time to time, coordinates scheduling of and supervises work activities of contractors performing approved capital projects for the company; evaluates contractor work, sets expectations with contractor for safety performance, and ensures security of confidential information.
  • Leads implementation of spare parts inventory program best practices and ensures sustainment of stock management discipline.
  • Prepares activity reports, project proposals and cost analysis of replacing or repairing machinery, structures or other equipment as directed.
  • Review and optimize asset criticality, equipment maintenance strategies preventive, predictive and non-interventive strategies, and emergent work protocols.
  • Ensures proactive (preventive and predictive) work strategies (frequency, task lists and critical parts) are aligned with asset criticality analyses to ensure the most efficient and effective maintenance processes.
  • Assesses and recommend vendor and 3rd party maintenance services as necessary.
  • Conducts and facilitates Root Cause Failure Analysis for significant or repeat equipment failures, including FMEA as needed, and implements the maintenance strategy improvements to eliminate recurrence.
  • Ensures best practice utilization of CMMS systems including preventive and predictive maintenance procedures, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the dataset and files.
  • Ensures best practice implementation and sustainment of workflow processes including but not limited to the effectiveness and efficiency of work request, work order creation, planning, kitting, scheduling, execution and work quality/closure.
  • Review and analyze data from inspections for information on equipment reliability issues on request of site maintenance engineers.
  • Analyzes CMMS data to improve equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs and ensures visibility of performance to site managers.
  • Provides reliability and maintenance input on capital projects to guide project team on reliability and maintainability of the equipment. Provides input on the technical check out, equipment check out and commissioning of new assets. Ensures project related changes in equipment strategies and equipment specifications are updated in the CMMS database.
  • Provides technical expertise for PSM and mechanical integrity programs.
  • Provides benchmark/industry data for reliability improvement.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years in Maintenance/ Reliability/ Engineering in a PSM regulated Chemical Plant.
  • Ability to build strategic relationships with key stakeholders across the operation to ensure improved collaboration and deliver results.
  • Experience with PSM systems and hazardous processes (OSHA 1910.119), CMMS, RCA, PM and Maintenance Work Process.
  • Experience using CMMS and ERP software.
