Senior Scientist, Virus-like Particle Subject Matter Expert

~ onsite in Rockville, MD~

Collaborate with a tremendous group of protein scientists!
Serve as the SME for VLP protein purification.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead VLP protein purification efforts, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency.

2. Design and execute purification protocols for recombinant proteins.

3. Supervise and mentor junior lab personnel, fostering a collaborative and productive research environment.

4. Adapt and implement new purification technologies and methodologies to enhance lab capabilities.

Essential Qualifications:

Must have VLP expertise.
PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or related.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to supervise and mentor junior staff.
Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
Strong communication skills, capable of effectively presenting data and collaborating across teams.

Preferred Experience:

2-10+ years of experience, after PhD
Plasmid design and construction, and protein purification.
Familiarity with analytical methods for protein characterization.

Additional Points:

--This is a full time position.

--Title and salary (including base plus annual bonus) are commensurate with experience.
