My client has over 120 years of experience, offering fabrication and construction capabilities to a wide variety of customers for the chemical, food & beverage, oil & gas, heavy industrial, and power industries. This client began making sealants and lacquers—including a patented formula for brewer’s pitch—for beer tanks and vessels. Over the last century, their expanded capabilities, project experience, safety record, and commitment to quality have made my client one of the industry leaders in shop fabrication, field erection, and construction and maintenance services.
These estimators will be responsible for preparing precise and competitive project bids, conducting in-depth cost analysis, and playing a pivotal role in the success of our construction projects.

Required:
o 3+ years of experience in estimating, with a proven track record of successfully completed industrial construction projects. Field experience is a major plus.
o Exceptional knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
o Proficiency in advanced estimating software and tools.
o Outstanding analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities.
o Unwavering attention to detail and dedication to precision.
o Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Estimation:
o Independently and expertly prepare comprehensive cost estimates for industrial construction projects, including meticulous material take-offs, labor and equipment costs, subcontractor bids, and other project expenses.
o Ensure estimates align with project specifications and client requirements.
2. Bid Preparation:
o Lead and oversee the entire bid preparation process, including the development of detailed bid proposals, bid forms, and all supporting documentation.
o Collaborate with review teams to refine and enhance bid packages.
3. Cost Analysis and Value Engineering:
o Conduct rigorous cost analysis, evaluating project costs in detail and identifying opportunities for cost savings while maintaining the highest quality standards.
o Initiate and guide value engineering efforts to optimize project costs.
4. Vendor and Supplier Management:
o Cultivate and manage strategic relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing, quotes, and bids for materials and services.
o Negotiate and manage supplier and subcontractor contracts.
5. Estimating Software Expertise:
o Demonstrate mastery of advanced estimating software and tools, utilizing them to perform precise quantity take-offs and cost calculations and generate accurate estimates.
o Stay updated on the latest developments in estimating software.
6. Documentation and Reporting Excellence:
o Maintain meticulous records of estimates, bids, and project documentation, ensuring adherence to company standards and best practices.
o Prepare comprehensive reports and summaries for estimating and management purposes.
7. Collaboration and Leadership:
o Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and junior estimators, to gather essential project information and coordinate estimating efforts.
o Provide mentorship, guidance, and training to junior estimators.
