Our client is an AI infrastructure startup operating at the forefront of artificial intelligence and autonomous systems. The team partners with leading labs, hyperscalers, and enterprises to scale the creation of reinforcement learning (RL) environments that model real-world behavior and codify human goals for intelligent agents.
\nHaving raised over $15 million from top-tier venture capital firms, the company has exceeded early revenue benchmarks and is now scaling rapidly. Their mission: to build the foundational systems that will accelerate the next era of AI-driven economic growth.
\nWe’re seeking a Member of Technical Staff (MTS), Strategic Projects—a deeply technical and high-agency operator with a rare mix of engineering expertise, operational intensity, and founder-like ownership.
\nThis role sits at the intersection of engineering, product, and operations, driving execution on critical internal systems that power the company’s growth from 1 → $100M in revenue.
\nYou’ll be responsible for coordinating development, owning CI/CD systems, enforcing technical rigor, and building scalable AI-facing tools. This is a 60% technical / 40% operational role ideal for candidates who thrive in high-velocity environments.
\nCoordinate development across engineering, operations, and product teams—driving urgency, accountability, and technical precision.
\nOwn CI/CD infrastructure, ensuring consistency, reliability, and scalability across environments and data pipelines.
\nAct as the final QA layer, designing and implementing systems for large-scale validation and correctness.
\nDevelop internal tools and AI-driven systems that streamline oversight, quality assurance, and reward evaluation.
\nDesign and manage task workflows, including writing instructions, training contributors, and embedding expert feedback.
\nRun evaluations (e.g., pass@k traces) and contribute to deterministic reward function generation.
\nCollaborate with external partners and stakeholders to define scenarios, user stories, and technical requirements.
\nTackle high-priority, ambiguous challenges with speed and ownership—keeping the team aligned and executing efficiently.
\nDeeply technical: Strong coding ability in Python and familiarity with frontend frameworks.
\nOperationally intense: Thrives in fast-paced, high-accountability environments.
\nAnalytical: Cuts through noise to get to the root cause of problems.
\nDetail-oriented: Sets a high standard for precision and rigor.
\nEntrepreneurial mindset: Ideally a former founder or someone who’s excelled in demanding, high-growth settings.
\nDriven by impact: Motivated by building systems that meaningfully advance AI infrastructure.
\nBachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (top-tier academic background preferred).
\n0–5 years of experience in technical or startup environments requiring speed and precision.
\nStrong experience in Python; understanding of CI/CD, QA automation, and scalable systems design.
\nExposure to AI, machine learning, or reinforcement learning environments a plus.
\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.
\nHigh agency, autonomy, and ownership mentality.
\nBuild mission-critical infrastructure for next-generation AI applications.
\nWork with a world-class technical and operational team.
\nOperate in a fast-moving, venture-backed startup with enormous growth potential.
\nShape systems that have real-world and long-term impact.
\nBase Salary: $150,000 – $250,000 (commensurate with experience)
