Job Title: Lab Technician – Development

Our client, a growing Chemical Manufacturer, is looking for a detail-oriented Lab Technician to join their Development team.

This role involves supporting laboratory testing, formulation work, and production scale-up processes, all while ensuring strict adherence to safety and compliance protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform lab testing using instruments such as TOC, TGA, and conduct basic tests (e.g., density, particle size, moisture content, hardness).
• Maintain and calibrate lab equipment; manage inventory and ensure SDS documentation is current and accurate.
• Work with organic chemistries to prepare samples and prototypes in batch sizes ranging from 50g to 500g.
• Prepare both dry and wet blends using kitchen and rotary blenders.
• Safely handle a variety of chemicals, including non-hazardous substances as well as some solvents, acids, and bases.
• Accurately document test results, communicate findings, and develop clear operating instructions following training.
• Keep lab space clean and organized; participate in weekly R&D team meetings.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality Control/Assurance, Regulatory, and Sales teams.
• Learn to operate and support equipment used in production scale-up (up to 500kg).
• Assist with hands-on production activities involving large-scale manufacturing machinery.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field.
