We have an awesome opportunity for an Associate Medical Device Sale Rep in Pittsburgh, PA You willl collaborate closely with the local Territory Distributor and their team to engage, educate, and promote products to surgeons and their staff. The role is vital in demonstrating the clinical benefits and functionalities of our surgical implants and instruments. The associate will undergo comprehensive training to effectively contribute to business growth within the designated territory.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Participate in surgeries to ensure all products are readily available for use and provide detailed instructions on product functionalities to surgeons.
  • Educate healthcare professionals about the products, including updates and maintenance protocols.
  • Engage in an intensive training program, which may require travel outside the assigned territory for hands-on experience and classroom learning.
  • Customize promotional messages based on customer knowledge, assist in product selection, address functionality queries, and differentiate our products from competitors.
  • Maintain compliance with all necessary certifications and tests required to operate within clinical settings, adhering to standards such as OSHA and HIPAA.
  • Assist in the execution of sales strategies and marketing plans to effectively compete in the market.
  • Manage inventory levels and logistics for surgical instruments and product deliveries to healthcare facilities.
  • Support the Territory Distributor in managing customer orders and invoicing.
  • Attend sales and professional association meetings, occasionally outside regular business hours.
  • Conduct field visits and consultations within the assigned territory, including emergency on-call duties.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of successful sales experience, medical device industry experience is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles, marketing strategies, and the regulatory environment of the medical device sector.
  • Commitment to ethical standards and compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as company policies.
  • This role requires significant local travel, potential weekend work, and occasional overnight stays. Most activities will be conducted in clinical settings, including operating rooms.
