Duties

·         Design, implement, and maintain automated data collection systems to provide timely metrics and analysis to support manufacturing operations.

·         Work with production leadership to define requirements for data collection and visualization.

·         Assist the project team with data collection hardware, network infrastructure, protocol design, and data processing/analysis.

·         Design and implement Andon visualization screens and management reporting tools.

·         Continuously seek improvements in equipment and process performance.

·         Monitor system performance and provide guidance regarding system storage and processing requirements.

·         Be responsive to management requests for new features or modifications to existing features.

Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. Will consider AS with more manufacturing experience

·         3+  years of relevant experience, including client/server networking, SQL database programming, report generation, graphical design and organization of data for Andon visualization.

·         PLC/HMI programming knowledge.

·         Knowledge of information flow in a manufacturing environment.

·         Possess strong organization and planning skills, effective time management skills.

·         Ability to effectively communicate highly technical concepts to management.

·         Can communicate and work well with all levels inside and outside of the organization.

·         Skilled with reading and interpreting electrical drawings, specification sheets, and component manuals.

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills.

·         Skilled with compiling effective and concise visual reports.

·         Ability to multitask, manage diversity, and facilitate problem solving and resolution.

·         Ability to work in a team environment.

·         Solid working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and other computer-based applications (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, etc.).

·         Knowledge of MES, SCADA, Inductive Automation Ignition system a plus.

·         Advanced education is a plus

·         Professional trainings/certifications are a plus
