We are currently searching for a Chemical Lab Technician for a direct hire opportunity in Lake Orion, MI.  

Position Summary

As a Chemical Laboratory Technician, you’ll support daily lab operations—conducting tests, analyzing samples, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. Your work will play a pivotal role in product development, quality control, continuous improvement, and production.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, test, and analyze chemical samples according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Operate and calibrate lab instruments (e.g., HPLC, GC, spectrophotometers, pH meters, balances).

• Record and analyze experimental data accurately; maintain detailed lab notebooks.

• Assist in developing and validating analytical methods and new test protocols.

• Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations; maintain a clean and organized laboratory space.

• Troubleshoot equipment, report malfunctions, and coordinate repairs or maintenance.

• Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality control to ensure product standards.

• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and samples.

• Maintain an inventory of chemicals, reagents, and supplies; order when necessary.

Qualifications

Education:

• Associate’s degree (A.A.S.) or higher in Chemistry, or a related field.

Experience:

• 3+ years of hands-on laboratory experience, preferably in chemical testing or QA/QC.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency with HPLC, GC, titration, spectroscopy, and basic lab equipment.

• Strong analytical skills; familiar with data analysis software (Excel).

• Working knowledge of lab safety and hazardous materials handling (GHS, MSDS).
