We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Manufacturing Manager at our automotive tier 1 manufacturing facility located in Frankfort. This key role involves overseeing all manufacturing-related activities, ensuring alignment with the plant’s strategic objectives concerning safety, quality, scrap reduction, and operational efficiencies. The successful candidate will report directly to the Plant Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the achievement of plant goals related to safety, quality, scrap reduction, and operational efficiencies.
  • Provide leadership and direction to plant supervisors, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and cost-effective production.
  • Analyze production schedules and reports to optimize resource utilization and coordinate plant teams as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with safety/environmental standards, quality protocols, process instructions, and IATF-16949 guidelines.
  • Promote and uphold 5S/2S principles across the facility to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Communicate manufacturing status and updates effectively with support teams and management.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on plant scrap and line efficiencies on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Manage overtime approvals to ensure resource efficiency and cost control.
  • Lead and implement improvement initiatives to support plant goals in safety, quality, and cost management.
  • Facilitate open communication among manufacturing associates and participate in problem-solving initiatives.
  • Oversee comprehensive training programs for manufacturing associates to ensure skills and knowledge are up-to-date.
  • Conduct budgetary planning for personnel, support, and capital investments related to manufacturing operations.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to assess and plan for workforce requirements and short-term staffing needs.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in manufacturing management, particularly within the automotive sector.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret production data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to coach and mentor staff effectively.
  • Experience with IATF-16949 guidelines and safety/environmental compliance is essential.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and drive continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
