Summary:
Our client is seeking an Manager, Financial Operations to join their growing organization.  This is not your typical monthly-close oriented accounting position.  You will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the accuracy of financial operations for multiple real estate investment entities. Work closely with an incredible CFO to maintain financial data integrity and communicate directly with investment entities.

Primary Objectives and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will help to advance the company’s management and operations, performance, and strategic planning by implementation of accounting policies and procedures, ensuring efficient distribution of high-quality reporting, and embracing our use of data and technology in a competitive marketplace. He or she will be self-motivated and able to thrive in an entrepreneurial culture and have the knowledge and experience necessary to build and grow a solid accounting and reporting system.
  • Supervise and review the accounting process for 80+ investment clients, including reviewing accounting summaries
  • Assist with and review monthly bank reconciliations
  • Review financials for CFO and fix discrepancies as needed
  • Understand investment client activity, including compliance documents required for clients, deadlines, state regulations, and rules for distributions (dividends vs. expenses)
  • Assist with financial audit requests and testing
  • Assist with reviewing 3rd party prepared tax returns
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Desired Profile:
  • CPA desired, but not required
  • Real estate and/or investment/financial services industry experience preferred
  • Collaborative and team-focused work style
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage complex and shifting priorities
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills with high degree of proficiency with technology
    • Advanced Excel skills, including creating formulas, pivot tables, IF formulas, "list sheets", and v lookups
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Must have the ability to communicate financial data to non-financial stakeholders
