This is a newly created and pivotal role with a leading investment firm.  Our client is seeking an awesome VP to join their accounting team at an exciting growth-driven juncture.  In this position, you'll oversee financial operations for their management and GP companies, playing a crucial part in their continued growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the quarterly close process and monthly soft close, ensuring compliance with accounting standards such as ASC 606, ASC 323, ASC 810, and ASC 842.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, footnotes, audit requests, and tax workpapers for quarterly and annual reporting.
  • Collaborate with a team of high-performing Accounting professionals, driving efficiency and fostering professional development.
  • Collaborate with the FP&A team to streamline processes and enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Manage various accounting functions and projects, including capital calls, distributions, income allocation, and system implementations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required; CPA license is essential.
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in fund or asset management.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software such as NetSuite and Concur is advantageous.
