V.P., Corporate Accounting and Reporting

This is a newly created and pivotal role with a leading investment firm. Our client is seeking an awesome VP to join their accounting team at an exciting growth-driven juncture. In this position, you'll oversee financial operations for their management and GP companies, playing a crucial part in their continued growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the quarterly close process and monthly soft close, ensuring compliance with accounting standards such as ASC 606, ASC 323, ASC 810, and ASC 842.
Prepare and review financial statements, footnotes, audit requests, and tax workpapers for quarterly and annual reporting.
Collaborate with a team of high-performing Accounting professionals, driving efficiency and fostering professional development.
Collaborate with the FP&A team to streamline processes and enhance reporting capabilities.
Manage various accounting functions and projects, including capital calls, distributions, income allocation, and system implementations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required; CPA license is essential.
8-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in fund or asset management.
Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software such as NetSuite and Concur is advantageous.
