Primary Objectives and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will help to advance the company’s management and operations, investment performance, and strategic planning by implementation of accounting policies and procedures, ensuring efficient distribution of high-quality reporting, and embracing our use of data and technology to differentiate in a competitive marketplace. He or she will have several years of public accounting experience, be self-motivated and able to thrive in an entrepreneurial culture and have the knowledge and experience necessary to build an efficient accounting and internal control system.
  • Overseeing all matters related to accounting including the month-end close, and preparation of consolidated monthly financials according to GAAP
  • Create policies and procedures to ensure the timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial reporting for internal use by management and executives
  • Manage treasury, payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Manage fixed assets and depreciation
  • Establish and maintain internal controls and related processes
  • Prepare statutory filings
  • Work with the outside CPA to prepare audited financial statements and tax returns
  • Assist with preparing corporate budgets through analysis of consolidated financial data and recommendation of strategic plans to executives
  • Support Controller and CFO in budgeting and planning; financial statements, analyses, comparisons to gauge performance
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Desired Profile:
  • CPA required - Big 4 experience a plus
  • Collaborative and team-focused work style
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage complex and shifting priorities
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills with high degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Experience with NetSuite a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
