THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:Reporting directly to the CFO, the Senior Accountant plays a pivotal role in maintaining financial accuracy and compliance while supporting key business operations. Responsibilities include:
Managing the accounts receivable process, ensuring accurate invoicing and timely payments.
Reconciling key financial accounts and proactively resolving discrepancies.
Processing payroll for employees, ensuring precision and adherence to federal and state regulations.
Maintaining detailed payroll records, including timesheets, deductions, and reconciliations.
Collaborating with project managers to effectively allocate costs to projects.
Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, financial regulations, and company policies.
BACKGROUND PROFILE:
A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the construction industry.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and fundamental accounting principles.
Proficiency in accounting software (Viewpoint Spectrum is a plus).
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting functions.
Strong analytical mindset with exceptional problem-solving abilities.
Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
