A multi-format grocery retail, wholesale, franchise, and e-commerce business employing 1,000 associates across The Bahamas.

Take a lead in the building of a brand-new, 45,000 sq. ft. distribution center to support the growing retail network.  They are looking for a proven Distribution Center Manager with big-box / grocery / DC experience - ideally Walmart, Kroger, or Broadliner - to join now and lead the design, build-out, staffing, and launch of this new facility in July 2026.

This is a ground-floor opportunity for someone who can oversee construction readiness, shape operational strategy, select and implement a WMS, and ultimately run the DC with accountability, efficiency, and rock-solid execution.

Responsibilities:

Pre-Opening

Serve as the operational lead during design, construction, equipment selection, and layout planning.

Build detailed workflows for receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, staging, and outbound.

Lead selection, configuration, testing, and implementation of the Warehouse Management System (WMS).

Establish equipment needs: racking, forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyors, safety systems, IT hardware.

Develop KPIs, SOPs, safety protocols, staffing plans, and training guides.

Work closely with executive leadership, construction teams, vendors, and IT to ensure operational readiness for a July 2026 launch.

Post-Opening

Manage all daily distribution operations for a one-shift facility (with the ability to scale).

Lead, train, coach, and hold accountable a high-performing warehouse team.

Maintain strong inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, dock scheduling, cycle counts, and shrink control.

Drive continuous improvement: productivity, cost control, safety, quality, and service levels.

Ensure 100% compliance with AML policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

7+ years of distribution / warehouse leadership, ideally in grocery or high-velocity retail.

Strong preference for candidates from Walmart, Kroger, Publix, H-E-B, Target, or comparable environments.

Hands-on experience with WMS implementation, optimization, and reporting.

Proven success leading teams, managing KPIs, and improving operational performance.

Experience launching new facilities, redesigning warehouse layouts, or leading major operational transitions.

Strong technical aptitude — WMS, RF, routing systems, and warehouse automation.

Ability to relocate to The Bahamas full-time for a minimum of 2-year contract.
