Software Engineer (Full-Stack)

San Francisco, CA (Hybrid, 3 days a week) | $120k - $250k base + equity (dependent on experience)

A rapidly growing AI-driven eCommerce platform is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to help build and scale its automation tools for performance marketing. With over 1,000 paying customers in just six months and backing from top investors like Figma, Y Combinator, and General Catalyst, the company is poised for significant expansion.

Responsibilities:

• Build, maintain, and scale core product features and services for the company’s eCommerce automation platform.

• Collaborate with designers, engineers, and product managers to launch new 0→1 products.

• Develop clean, maintainable, and scalable code using TypeScript, React, and Node.js.

• Optimize backend services with distributed systems such as Kafka and Clickhouse.

• Contribute to software architecture decisions, improve engineering processes, and enhance system performance.

• Write robust documentation to support long-term maintainability.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of full-stack engineering experience (5+ years if backend-focused).

• Proficiency in TypeScript, React, Node.js, and experience with Kafka/Clickhouse or other distributed systems.

• Background in building products from scratch with a strong product/customer focus.

• Experience in fast-paced, ambiguous environments (preferably Series A or earlier startups).

• CS degree or equivalent from a top university.

• Strong opinions on deployment and maintenance, with experience addressing common pitfalls.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a founder or early-stage startup engineer.

• Participation in hackathons or a passion for rapid prototyping.

• Strong eye for visual design or experience with design tools like Figma.
