Plant Controller

We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Plant Controller to join our dynamic team at a leading automotive supplier. This role is integral to driving financial excellence and supporting operational success at our Chattanooga plant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and recommend key economic strategies, objectives, and policies to senior management for optimal financial performance.
• Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing and forecasting business activities, financial position, income, expenses, and earnings.
• Lead the budgeting process, including reviewing proposals and ensuring robust supporting documentation and justification.
• Provide management with timely financial reviews to assess the organization's status and progress across various programs.
• Determine appropriate depreciation rates for capital assets and advise on necessary operational adjustments due to tax code changes.
• Coordinate and arrange audits, prepare regulatory reports, and manage fiscal year-end audit processes.
• Oversee accounts payable, ensure accuracy in voucher approval, and manage check signing.
• Prepare SRP and month-end reports, while managing payroll processing via ADP.
• Supervise and develop the finance team, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and legal requirements.

Direct Reports:

• Supervision of a finance department comprising two accountants

Skills and Knowledge Required:

• Ability to interpret complex business and financial information and present it clearly to various stakeholders.
• Proficiency in report writing, business correspondence, and developing procedure manuals.
• Strong quantitative skills to perform calculations related to discounts, interest, commissions, and other financial metrics.

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience in a manufacturing accounting environment.
• Proficiency in Excel, with basic skills in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
